The user places a finger or thumb in the larger ring, and the implement to be gripped fits inside the smaller ring.

The implement is now in the correct position and angle, leaving the user to apply only a small amount of force to control it.

This product is ideal for teaching children of 3 years and above who do not have the dexterity to hold a pen or pencil

content1 By removing most of the requirement for gripping ability, GRIPPIT 2000 brings the use of many everday implements to a wider range of people and leaves them able to perform common tasks (such as writing, shaving or brushing teeth) without assistance.

Normally, for right-handed persons, the right index finger is slipped through the expandable finger ring and is worn high on the finger. Best results can be experienced if the finger ring is worn near to the wearer's knuckle.

  • The "gripper" which holds the pen or pencil can be rotated so that the alignment of the pen points downwards to the most suitable angle and can accommodate all types of grip. This is done easily by inserting the pen or pencil into the "gripper" and simply rotating the gripper slowly, like a small propeller. Once adjusted it will remain in that position.
  • The GRIPPIT 2000 can of course be worn on any finger depending on the needs of the individual concerned.
  • For left-handed persons there is no extra complication, as the GRIPPIT 2000 can be worn on the left thumb, usually without any adjustments.
  • If this is not suitable it can be worn on the index finger. Although the gripper and pen will now be facing upwards this is corrected simply by again rotating the gripper and pen to the necessary angle. Again the pen will stay at the angle which has been set.
  • content2The expandable finger ring can be opened and closed to allow the ring to fit comfortably on the finger and over any swollen joints etc. The GRIPPIT 2000 should be comfortable at all times.
